We are a United Methodist Church that has been serving the Palatka community since 1853. We offer a full range of programs and ministries for all ages and interests. Who Is Our Pastor?

Rev. Glenda J. Brayman joined us in June 2017. We are excited about this new addition to our St. James Church Family. Pastor Glenda is an experienced and a strong leader. Pastor Glenda stated: "My parents taught me to Love God, share with those in need, instilled a strong work ethic and a great appreciation for God's creation. Please join us for one of our 2 services on Sunday Mornings. Hope to see you there.

The Nature and Mission of the Church

"Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19-20) and using the Great Commandment to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind" (Matt. 22:36-40), both locally and globally.

What Do We Teach?

We use both the Old Testament and the Gospels as the foundation for our faith and the inspiration for our daily lives. We put those teachings into practice at home and at work.
